Kiel - Sailing Metropolis

Everything started with one regatta in 1882. Today the Kieler Woche is the biggest annual sailing event of the World: More than 2.000 boats and 5.000 sailors from more than 50 nations. In order to win the Olympics you have to be able to win the Kieler Woche – sailors are saying.

But Kiel is not only a sailing metropolis during the Kieler Woche. Sailing lessons, day trips or several-day cruises on the Baltic Sea are always possible. From May to September  Kiel offers a special sailing training camp for children in the middle of the city – and only five minutes away from our hotel.
