At the turn of the millennium the remodeling started
- Year 2002: One of the new junior suites – each is individually furnished.
In the year 2000 Carl-Heinz and Marlies Lessau became the new leaseholders of the then “Parkhotel Kieler Kaufmann.” Together with the owner of the house, the business club “Der Kieler Kaufmann e.V.” a comprehensive remodeling concept was envisioned, that was implemented from 2000 on.
The villa was elaborately restored. Walls were moved to make space for more generous rooms. In the designs of the house architect Ernst Stoffers, Kiel, and interior designer Rainer Wiltschko, Berlin, combine traditional elements with clear and modern influences.
